February 2nd and 3rd - Tottenham's remarkable record of having not drawn a game continued as Heung Min-Son scored a late winner against Newcastle a Wembley. With Man City not playing until Sunday, that victory allowed Spurs to climb to second in the table for 24 hours. Man City regained second spot on Sunday though - they beat Arsenal three-one at the Etihad. Sergio Aguero scored a perfect hat-trick - one with his head, one with his boot and one with his hand. They're two points behind Liverpool now ahead of their visit to West Ham on Monday night. Emiliano Sala was remembered at Cardiff as the home side moved to within two points of safety. Bobby Reid scored twice as Neil Warnock's team beat Bournemouth two-nil in South Wales. Crystal Palace put some daylight between themselves and the relegation zone beating Fulham two-nil at Selhurst Park. Luka Milivojevic and Jeffrey Schlupp scored the goals for Roy Hodgson's side. Chelsea responded to midweek defeat at Bournemouth by scoring five without reply at home to Huddersfield. Gonzalo Higuain scored his first two goals for the Blues in that one. Eden Hazard added two more to his season's tally with David Luiz also scoring. Man United's push for a top four finish continued with a one-nil win at Leicester - Marcus Rashford scored the only goal at the Walker Stadium after just nine minutes to leave United just two points outside the top four. Elesewhere on Saturday, Peter Crouch earned an injury time penalty on his Burnley debut. Ashley Barnes duly converted to earn a point against Southampton for whom Nathan Redmond had opened the scoring. Everton crashed to another defeat - three-one at home to Wolves. Raul Jiminez, Ruben Neves and Leander Dendoncker were on target as Wolves consolidated their seventh place in the table. February's first leaderboard sees Anastas Popov lead on 56 points. He's one point clear of Roisin Joyce in second place. The early top six is completed by Eamon Fox, Kris Stainton, Damien Martin and Jason Donovan. Full details below: |

February 9th and 10th - Man City took full advantage of their extra game this week to go top of the table from Liverpool on goal difference. A two-nil win at Everton midweek was followed up by a Liverpool bounced back from their draw at West Ham on Monday night with a three-nil win at home to Bournemouth. Sadio Mane scored for the fourth game in a row and was joined on the scoresheet by Gini Wijnaldum and Mohamed Salah. Liverpool's game in hand at Old Trafford in a fortnight could be pivotal in the title race. Tottenham are just five points off the lead - they beat Leicester three-one at Wembley to keep in touch with the leaders - an injury time goal from Hueng Son Min clinched the points for them after Leicester threatened a comeback. Man United won three-nil at Fulham to go into the top four for the first time since the opening day of the season. Paul Pogba scored twice with Antony Martial also scoring as United went a point ahead of both Arsenal and Chelsea. Arsenal won away from home for the first time since November - they won two-one at Huddersfield with goals from Iwobi and Lacazette. There was a dramatic ending at St Marys as Cardiff won two-one. James Stephens equalised for Southampton in the 91st minute but Kenneth Zouhore scored in the 94th minute as Neil Warnock's side climbed out of the relegation zone. Fulham and Huddersfield look doomed at this stage with Newcastle nervously looking over their shoulders ahead of their game against Wolves on Monday night. Burnley's good run continued as they won three-one at Brighton on Saturday evening. Everton continue to go backwards - Watford won the Silva Derby at Vicarage Road thanks to a second half goal from Andre Gray. Crystal Palace and West Ham shared the points at Selhurst Park - Mark Noble's penalty was cancelled out by Wilfried Zaha's equaliser. Eamon Fox has moved into first place in the February competition. He leads by ten points from Anastas Popov. The top five so far is completed by Roisin Joyce, Darragh Kenny and Dave McGinley. Full details below: |

February 23rd and 24th - Liverpool went a point clear at the top of the table after a nil-all draw at Old Trafford. A game disjointed by injuries - United using all three subs in the first half - won't linger long in the memory. We'll only really know if it's a point gained or two lost by Liverpool at the end of the season. Tottenham crashed to defeat at Burnley despite the return of Harry Kane. Goals from Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes either side of an equaliser from the returning Kane eased the hosts' relegation fears and leaves Spurs six points behind the leaders and still in with a shout of glory. United dropping points allowed Arsenal to move back into the top four following a two-nil win at home to Southampton. Lacazette and Mkhitaryan scored the goals which saw the Gunners go a point ahead of United. At the bottom of the table, Newcastle picked up a big three points beating Huddersfield two-nil thanks to goals from Perez and Rondon. Huddersfield are now almost certain to return to the Championship, fourteen points adrift of safety. Elsewhere at the bottom, Cardiff crashed to a five-one defeat at home to Watford on Friday night. Deulofeu (3) and Deeney (2) did the damage for the Hornets. On the same night, Ryan Babel opened the scoring for Fulham at West Ham but any hopes of three points were dashed by goals from Hernandez, Diop and Antonio saw the Hammers climb up to ninth in the table. Elsewhere on Saturday, Claude Puel was sacked by Leicester after a four-one defeat at home to Crystal Palace. Roy Hodgson became the oldest person to manage a Premier League side in that one, breaking Fergie's longstaning record. Bournemouth and Wolves shared the points in a one-all draw at the Vitality Stadium. Josh King's penalty opener was cancelled out by Raul Jiminez late on. With one round of games to go in the month, Eamon Fox holds a sixteen point lead over Aiden Desch in second place. Dave McGinley is third, a further two points back with the top five for the month completed by Karl Boland and Roisin Joyce. Full details below: |

February 26th and 27th - The month ended with Liverpool a point clear of Man City at the top of the table. Liverpool had an emphatic five-nil win at home to Watford to settle any nerves. Sadio Mane and Virgil van Dijk both scored twice. Divock Origi warmed up for the weekend's Merseyside Derby by getting on the scoresheet too. Man City kept up the pressure with a hard fought one-nil win at home to West Ham. Sergio Aguero scored the only goal in that one, to go top of the scoring charts, converting a very soft penalty on the hour. Tottenham's title challenge looks to be over after they lost two-nil at Chelsea. Pedro opened the scoring and that was followed up by a comical own goal by Kieran Trippier to hammer a big nail into their title aspirations. Arsenal moved into fourth place with a five-one win at home to Bournemouth. They had five different scorers in that one including another goal each for Aubameyang and Lacazette. An injury-hit Man United kept up their challenge for fourth spot with a three-one win at Crystal Palace. Romelu Lukaku had his shooting boots on the right feet in that one, scoring twice for the visitors. Brendan Rodgers was unveiled as manager at Leicester City ahead of their two-one win at home to Brighton. Instant success for the Northern Irishman who jumped ship at Glasgow Celtic earlier in the day. Claudio Ranieri's time in charge at Fulham came to an end after a two-nil defeat at Southampton. Elsewhere midweek, Steve Mounie scored a last minute winner for Huddersfield at home to Wolves. The Terriers remain thirteen points from safety with just ten games to go. Newcastle's two-nil win at home to Burnley saw them move six points clear of the relegation zone. Gylfi Sigurdsson scored twice as Everton won three-nil at Cardiff. As a former Swansea City player he would definitely enjoyed that brace of goals. A late challenge from Anastas Popov wasn't enough to prevent Eamon Fox winning another monthly competition. His score of 188 points was enough to win February's contest by just eight points. Karl Boland, Kris Stainton and Wayne Donovan completed the top five for the month. Full details below: |
