November 1st and 2nd - The top three all won by a single goal as Chelsea consolidated their lead at the top of the table. Charlie Austin's equaliser for QPR had pegged them back temporarily but a winner from Eden Hazard saw Jose Mourinho's side pick up another three points. Southampton won one-nil at Hull - Victor Wanyama scored the only goal three minutes in in that one. Sergio Aguero was the difference between the teams in the Manchester derby. United put up a good fight despite being reduced to ten men - Chris Smalling seeing red for two yellow cards before half time. Aguero opened the scoring on the hour mark and City held onto their lead to remain six points behind the leaders.

Saturday's early game saw Newcastle make it four wins on the bounce. Ayoze Perez scored the only goal in that one as the Reds put in another toothless display on Tyneside. Last season seems a million years ago for Brendan Rodgers side. Arsenal moved into the top four with a three-nil win at home to Burnley - Alexis Sanchez scored twice in that one. West Ham keep their recent good run going - they came from two down to earn a point at Stoke - Stewart Downing scored a late equaliser for Sam Allardyce's side in that one.

Elesewhere, Jonjo Shelvey saw red on his return to Merseyside but Swansea held on for a point at Everton. Tottenham moved upto eighth in the table - late goals from Chadli and Kane saw them win at Aston Villa. West Brom won one-nil at Leicester after an own goal from Cambiasso.

Konstantin Kulev is the early leader for November after picking up sixty points this weekend - he's five clear of Phil Doyle in second place with Brian Sotolongo and Paul Prendergast a further five points back:

The Saints go marching on....

Aguero's derby delight....

November 8th and 9th - Chelsea seem to be on an unstoppable march towards their first title since 2011. The rest of the division were given hope when Emre Can opened the scoring for Liverpool at Anfield. Howver an equaliser from Gary Cahill followed by a second half winner from Diego Costa saw Jose Mourinho's side pick up another three points to make it 29 from 33 this season. Southampton are four points behind after a two-nil win over Leicester City - Shane Long finally found his scoring boots netting twice in that one.

Man City remain in third place following a two-all draw at QPR - they needed two equalisers from Sergio Ageuro to earn a point in that one. The champions are now eight points behind the leaders.

Man United bounced back from last week's Derby defeat with a one-nil win over Crystal Palace - Juan Mata came off the bench to score the winner at Old Trafford. Newcastle's great recent run continued with a two-nil win at West Brom - Perez and Coloccini scored the goals which saw Alan Pardew's side move up to seventh in the table.

Good news for Burnley who won for the first time this season - they beat Hull one-nil at Turf Moor to pick up three points and close the gap on QPR and Leicester who occupy the other relegation spots.

Sunday's games saw Everton and Sunderland share the points after a one-all draw at the Stadium of Light. Seb Larsson opened the scoring from the hosts but Leighton Baines scored a penalty late on for the Toffees. Tottenham suffered yet another Europa League hangover - they lost two-one at home to Stoke. Swansea rounded off the weekend's action by coming from behind to beat Arsenal two-one - goals from Sigurdsson and Gomis cancelled out another strike from Alexis Sanchez.

Konstantin Kulev leads the November competition ahead of the international break with 100 points. He's five clear of Brian Sotolongo with Gavin Morgan and Phil Doyle a further five points back...

Rodgers left suffering from
a dose of the Blues....

Not a bad first touch....

November 22nd and 23rd - These updates are getting quite boring at this stage. The bookies have already paid out on Chelsea winning the league and it's hard to argue with them. Another three points was picked up courtesy of a very straightforward two-nil win at home to West Brom - Diego Costa and Eden Hazard scored the goals as the leaders went seven points clear with second placed Southampton not playing until Monday night.

Man City stayed eight points behind the leaders but needed to come from behind to beat Swansea at home. Wilfried Bony opened the scoring for the visitors but goals from Steven Jovetic and Yaya Toure saw the champions pick up a vital three points ahead of Bayern Munich's visit midweek in Europe. Man United are in fourth place after a smash and grab victory at Arsenal - an own goal from Kieran Gibbs and a breakaway strike from Wayne Rooney was enough for Louis Van Gaal's side to move upto fourth spot. They're only thirteen points behind the leaders now. Mourinho must be sh*tting himself...

Brendan Rodgers might have won the sack race by the time you read this. Liverpool crashed to a three-one defeat at Crystal Palace which sees them languishing in twelfth spot in the table, nearer the relegation zone than the Champions League spots. Not even Ricky Lambert's opener could stop the Reds from falling to their worst start since 1992. Everton are now three points clear of their city rivals after beating West Ham two-one at Goodison Park - Leon Osman scored the winner for the Blues in that one.

Elsewhere, Burnley were this weekend's coupon busters winning two-one at Stoke. Leicester and Sunderland played out a nil-all draw. Newcastle are in fifth spot after a one-nil win at home to QPR - their fifth win on the spin. Tottenham beat ten man Hull in Sunday's other game - Christian Eriksen scored a late winner in that one.

Phil Doyle now leads the November competition with 140 points. He's five clear of Brian Sotolongo, Paul Stainton and Konstantin Kulev - full details below:

Five in a row for fifth placed Newcastle....

United win, ugly....

November 29th and 30th - A scoreless draw at the Stadium of Light saw Chelsea drop points for just the third time these season. Both sides hit the woodwork in a game which gives a glimmer of hope to the chasing pack. Man City took full advantage on Sunday when they travelled to second placed Southampton and won three-nil thanks to goals from Toure, Lampard and Clichy. The gap is now just six points to the leaders so we might have a title race yet.

Man United's good recent run continues - they scored three without reply at home to Hull as another Steve Bruce side rolls over at Old Trafford. Goals from Smalling, Rooney and van Persie were enough to see them consolidate fourth spot.
West Ham climbed to fifth with a one-nil win at home to Newcastle. Sam Allardyce came out on top in the battle of the managers facing their former clubs as Alan Pardew's side lost out to an Aaron Cresswell strike.

An early Christmas miracle occurred at Anfield - not only did Liverpool beat Stoke - Glen Johnson scored the winner and they kept a clean sheet. Praise the Lord. Arsenal won by the same scoreline at West Brom after three league defeats in a row - Danny Wellbeck scored the winner at the Hawthorns.

QPR won a mid season six pointer against Leicester - Leroy Fer scored the winner in a five goal thriller at Loftus Road. The other promoted side, Burnley, came from behind to earn a point against Aston Villa - Danny Ings continued his recent scoring run, equalising Joe Cole's opener (remember him?). The final game of the weekend saw Spurs come from behind to beat Everton two-one at White Hart Lane. Kevin Mirallas opened the scoring for the travellers but goals from Christian Eriksen and Roberto Soldado saw Spurs climb to seventh in the table.

A strong finish to November (including a ten pointer in the Spurs game) sees Brian Sotolongo win the monthly prize with 195 points - he finished ten clear of Aidan Knight, Kevin Philpott and Konstantin Kulev - full details below:
